It's a nice idea but until the council put some money into cycle routing and lock up facilities it will make little difference. Liverpool is the perfect city for cycling: it's flat and has so many alternatives to major road routes. Unfortunately footie, footie and footie is the major focus for most of the residents and this cycle initiative won't change a great deal. Along with Sefton council there is a disinterest in making roads safer for cyclists in case it upsets the motorists. I hope for change, have some great ideas and would be happy to discuss them.
