The perfect gift for the cyclist that has everything?

Show your groupset allegiance at the Gentleman's Club...

Whilst perusing the starting list of the road.cc Fantasy Tour de France we came across a team named www.shinycufflinks.co.uk. Curious chaps that we are we duly handbrake turned the browser and shot off for a gander, to find something very shiny indeed, and the perfect gift for the dapper cyclist: bike chain cufflinks from designer Dave Faulkner.

Crafted from a link of chain and plated in sterling Silver, they certainly do look very nice indeed. You can nail your groupset colours to the mast too, with a choice of Dura Ace (new and 'antique' varieties – what's that, 1991?) and Campag Record. Art imitates life here: you'll have to shell out a bit more for the Italian kit, as apparently they take a lot longer to make and there's a higher number of rejects. A SRAM version is in development, with a DoubleTap fastener.*

Dura Ace cufflinks will set you back £50, and it's £70 for the Record ones. They're available in a shiny 'bling bling' finish or antique oxidised look. One for the Christmas list, we think. Head on over to www.shinycufflinks.co.uk for a look...

* not really. The DoubleTap fastener that is, they are going to do a SRAM one.

Dave is a founding father of road.cc, having previously worked on Cycling Plus and What Mountain Bike magazines back in the day. He also writes about e-bikes for our sister publication ebiketips. He's won three mountain bike bog snorkelling World Championships, and races at the back of the third cats.

@ fettling; Great idea.

If you want to expand the market then anodised ones to match the colour of your fixie chain could be next.

Thanks for the plug guys. Currently waiting on stock of Shimano and the new SRAM! versions back from the platers. Should have them by the end of next week.

My plater is also trying to do some "Pimp Daddy" gold plated versions but these are taking time to perfect.
