Next month we'll be running another of our team road.cc club rideouts with this one being based at Filton on the outskirts of Bristol. Once again Cycle Surgery will be hosting us with use of their facilities and staff to make for a relaxed and supported morning out on the bike.
The plan
We'll be rolling out around 9:30am so sign on opens at 9am, we'll need you to fill out a quick form with a few emergency contact details for insurance purposes while you sup coffee and enjoy the croissants.
After that there'll be a quick rider briefing describing the two routes, we always offer a short (25 to 30 miles) and long route (35 to 40 miles) for you to choose on the day which one you fancy. We normally chuck in a cafe stop at around the midway point too.
Then we hit the road under the protective arm of the Cycle Surgery staff who know the area like the back of their hand so the routes they have planned should be pretty scenic and quiet.
These are club rides so the usual unwritten rules apply, no one gets dropped and we always ride at the speed of the slowest rider. The onus is on fun, a chance for each of our riders to get to know each other and have a chat while enjoying the countryside.
Once we get back to Cycle Surgery there'll be more snacks on offer plus the famous road.cc schwagaway where everyone gets entered in the free draw for some cycling related goodies.
An all round good morning on the bike then basically.
Did we mention all of this is free? No, well none of this will cost you a penny, all you need to do is get yourself registered here. Places are limited mind so don't hang about.
