And a graph. The datasets don't match, but I can see a correlation that proves my point without me explicitly claiming causation and if you can't see it, you're interpreting it incorrectly and will be on Santa's Naughty List.

No arguing with that.
Tony, the c word is certainly beyond polite conversation, I appreciate that.
However, if you're worried about people being put off your website if suggest looking at the cause for multiple posters reacting in the same way. Of Valbrona's 250 posts around 200 have contained racist content, he's used the word Muslim more often than bike!
The fact that you pick up on poor language rather than racist, xenophobic, hateful content is frankly pretty disgusting. I feel this (your reaction as well as the content) reflect worse upon your site than the effing and jeffin!
+1 for this. Tony, I'm really disappointed with your response to this. Fair enough to ask for the language to be toned down, of course, but are you implying that Valbrona's views are acceptable? If so, regretfully I'll have to find another primary cycling news source.
Hi all,
Well when I say 'all' I'm really meaning Alan, Ian, and Don – just thought I'd flag up the fact that personal abuse - whether you think it's justified or not - is against road.cc's T&Cs + it's not very nice to be on the receiving end of, and it's awkward to explain to your kids.
Yes, I know explaining awkward stuff is a key part of the job description for being a parent, but there's plenty of awkwardness already in the world to be explained without you chaps adding to it – especially when you could have made your points just as forcefully without the effing and jeffing.
It's Christmas so maybe a bit more peace and goodwill to all men? Or if you can't manage that disagreeing in language that won't have to be explained by other road.cc users to their kids and won't put them off coming here.
But the racism can stay?
Nothing wrong with being afraid of religious zealots. It's not like history isn't full to the brim with deaths in its name. I just don't understand how you'd believe any of it once you don't believe in Santa anymore (sorry 10 year old, if you haven't figured it out yet)
All religions are shit and Islam is very shit.
Most religions are based on peace, it is the zealots who twist them to suit their purposes and bastardise the context of the religious teachings to fuel hatred.
The Abrahamic faiths don't have the best start.
Old Testament God is like Victorian Dad having a sugar tantrum.
Santa is REAL (and 2018 will herald in improved infrastructure for cycling and courteous behaviour between all road users). Now back to the port and mince pies.
Peace , Salaam, Shalom, etc.
Graph, please, or I will YAWN*.
*I shouldn't have put Baileys on my Frosties.
Have a (((mince))) pie chart...

Excuse me conributors but my 10 yr old child has just read your comments on a site that is of interest to a cycling fan. I would be grateful if you could moderate your own language to that appropriate to a public site, can't find a button to report to a moderator.
Many thanks from a parent who will have to explain to a child that they are not allowed to read a hobby web site due to immature adults who have to use inappropriate words.
But you're quite happy for him to read the hate that Valbrona is comfortable writing? Strange one that.
+1
I find it easier to explain unpleasant language than hatred of other humans based on prejudice...
To Mr Turner's child, I shouldn't have used naughty words, they are not nice. I was angry as someone without an ounce of the intelligence, that I'm sure you already have, has such a disgusting view of the World. I am pretty sure you will go to school with people who have a different skin colour, who were born in another country and some with a big nose or curly hair. If the curly haired child is mean, it doesn't make all curly haired people mean. If you fear curly haired people based on this one person you may miss out on a potential life long friend, if you tell others that curly haired people are bad you will spread hate and fear. Oh and always wear a helmet and hi viz...
Surely she could have used th motorist's standard "I was momentarily distracted" excuse (perhaps there was a low-flying bird-of-prey or something...) If I recall correctly, a driver with 2 illegal tires took out a clubrun and killed 6 people a few years back and was fined less (on the grounds he hit ice on the bend so the tires would have made no difference). Seems like two-track justice again.
Article doesn't mention what evidence was entered regarding the speed of the motorcyclist who must surely have seen the cyclist and been driving at a speed which allowed them to avoid the collision? I'm all for all road users being accountable for their actions but not completely convinced by this outcome on the available information.
And what speed do you think would have been appropriate for the motorcyclist in this instance? Sorry, but the cyclist has a responsibility to look properly before making a u turn.
duplicate.
Atkinson is said to have screamed “my brakes have gone” shortly before hitting a drystone wall, but police found 'no significant issues'.
Muslim man shouting "Allahu akbar" drives vehicle through crowded pedestrian area in Melbourne, but police say incident 'was not terrorism-related'.
Can't keep your racism down, can you? Why don't you fuck off?
It doesn't surprise me that someone who can't string a couple of sentences together without using either the f-word or c-word thinks that Islam is a race.
Have you never met an African or an Oriental or a European Muslim?
Take your hateful accusations of racism somewhere else, you nasty piece of work.
Why don't you take your Islamaphobia and fuck off! Eh?
Racialism is one of several (((Cultural Marxist))) weapons-grade BS specifically to undermine European race homogenity in mediocrity and confusion, which (((they))) can increasingly rule from the shadows.
Some people are just not intelligent/informed enough to aprehend that all (((Cultural Marxism))) as destructive BS, including Racialism and Feminism.
Kindly take your views and excessive and incorrect use of the parenthesis to some alt-right website so that we can get back to cycling related matters. Thankyou.
With your (((((((good))))))) self obviously being the examplar of mediocrity and confusion!
((((Yawn))))
Q: What do NAZIs get for Christmas?
A: Nothing. They're sad gits and no one loves them.
Re Tony Farrelly. I only read this website (with my 8 year old daughter) because we find new curse words to shout at drivers on the way to school. Best cycling site on the web!
Merry Christmas!
Can I have some of what you're taking, please?
Given your pedantic nature - let's settle for "Islamphobic thick cunt" instead.
I don't need two sentences to call you a hateful fucking cunt!
