Video: Police appeal as Hackney cyclist kicks another rider off his bike, causing critical injuries

Officers release CCTV footage in bid to track down suspect

Police are appealing for information after a cyclist was left in a critical condition in hospital after he was kicked off his bike by another rider in Hackney, east London.

The Metropolitan Police has released CCTV footage of the incident, which happened at around 12.45pm on Sunday 10 March on Wallis Road, E9.

As the 30-year-old victim cycled along the road, the other cyclist caught him up and began riding alongside him.

He then kicked the victim off his bike, resulting in him hitting a parked car.

The victim was taken by ambulance to a hospital in east London, and remains there in a critical condition.

Police say that the motive for the attack is not known and that the suspect, who is described as a white male aged in his 20s or 30s, road away in the direction of Berkshire Road.

Officers are asking anyone who saw the incident or has information to call Central East CID via 101 quoting CAD reference 3718/10MAR19m or the charity Crimestoppers, anonymously, on 0800 555 111.

They have also asked anyone who may have been threatened or assaulted by this suspect in and around Hackney to come forward.

"road" away, c'mon man you can do better than that!

I wonder if there were words exchanged earlier, it's extremely strange for that to happen particularly when it doesn't look like your stereotypical prats on a BSOs!
