Places Filling Up Fast for Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool Bike Ride

Rare chance to cycle through the Mersey Tunnel

There’s only three weeks to go till the 19th Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool Bike Ride, so if you’re in that neck of the woods have a look at this mass-participation family friendly set of rides.

There are three 25-mile routes, perfect for beginners or younger enthusiasts, and 50 and 100-mile routes too. The event is expected to attract 3,000 riders and offers cyclists the rare opportunity to cycle through the Mersey Tunnel, which is usually closed to cyclists.

All riders start in Liverpool, (with the exception of the new Chester-Liverpool route) before heading out into the beautiful Wirral countryside.

On Sunday July 8th there’s also a chance to cycle with Olympic medalist and multiple World Champion, Craig Maclean.

The official charity partner for the 2012 Liverpool-Chester-Liverpool is once again Claire House Children’s Hospice. Participants raised over £20,000 for the children’s charity in the 2011 event.
