Rapha Cycle Club to open in London Saturday 21 July

First permanent UK venue opens in time for last weekend of Tour de France... and there's free champagne if Wiggo wins...

London-based cycle clothing brand Rapha is to open its first permanent Rapha Cycle Club in the UK tomorrow, Saturday 21 July. Located in Soho on the site of the former Regent Palace Hotel, the opening coincides with the final weekend of an edition of the Tour de France that looks set to produce the first British winner of the race. If Bradley Wiggins does win, Rapha will give a glass of champagne to everyone at the Cycle Club.

As well as screening live racing, the venue will also host events and act as a meeting point for rides, as well as providing a showcase for Rapha’s range of products and being home of course to a café.

The Rapha Cycle Club London will open on Saturday at 8.30am and will be showing live coverage that weekend of the climax of the Tour. Ahead of that, it will be publicised by spokecards being placed in the wheels of bicycles around the city – find one and you’re in line for a free coffee.

Previously, the company operated a temporary Rapha Cycle Club in London’s Clerkenwell, and at the moment there are also permanent ones in San Francisco, California and Osaka, Japan, as well as the mobile Cycle Club that tours evens throughout Europe.

Lets paraphrase the next 20 threads.

I hate Rapha

I love Rapha

I agree

I disagree

No one is forcing you to go visit/ buy/ believe in anything you dont want to.

There, saved everyone lots of time.
No need to thank me.

Been waiting for this - the pop-up version a few summers back was a great place to watch the racing and the coffee was excellent too.

Nicely located for Regent's Park too - might well become my morning coffee stop after my morning rides and before work. winner!

ZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzz

But then I don't live in London, don't have an accountant to organise my tax "payments", and have got over my Rapha fascination.

Miserable git that I am.
