Chrome introduce new Ike Windbreaker jacket

Chrome expand clothing range with new jacket that combines technical features and style

This rather stylish number is the new Ike Windbreaker jacket from Chrome Industries, and takes pride of place in their autumn/winter collection.

With a reputation founded in smart and bombproof courier bags and shoes, they're starting to expand their clothing range based on the same principles that makes their clobber one of the hottest labels in the city.

The Ike is packed with technical features and technology that ensures it works where it matters the most, on the bike, yet it has a very understated and stylish look that ensures you're not going to look out of place off the bike and down the pub. Or cafe. Or wherever it is you hangout after a bike ride.

Inspiration for the jacket came from the cropped military jacket made for President Eisenhower and uses a brushed polyester wool-like twill fabric with windstopper front panels. The fit is of course tailored for when you're on the bike with longer arms but it's not so snug that it will be uncomfortable when you're just, you know, hanging out.

A full-length two-way zipper lets you ventilate easily and there's also pit vents when it gets a bit stuffy on the inside. Cargo and chest pockets, reflective details and zippered cuffs complete details on this fine jacket.

It might not be as expensive as I thought. I've been looking around. Here is their previous windbreaker for £82

Evans are the only big retailer to stock them online, but only the bags so far. Just an example,

Their Mini-Metro Buckle Bag which sells for $120 on their site.

Evans has a £109.99 reduced at the moment to £89.99. So its still cheaper from Chrome without postage, but factoring that in. Its going to be roughly the same price. Just means the money is going to Chrome without Evans mark up.

Cheaper still if you have friends in America willing to post something over as a "gift", like I do 3

Would be nice if it were easier to get here.

I ordered something off the Chrome website once, after ludicrous postage charges and import duties etc added I really wish I hadn't.

Second time, got it sent to wife's friend in Texas who sent it on to us... but she wouldn't accept so much as a cent towards postage so felt guilty about that.

Can't win.

Very nice. I was wondering why you didn't have a price and then I see its all in USD. But $125 at todays exchange is around £77......Don't expect to see it cheaper than £100 in the UK??

Its that nice I might get it bought in the US and sent to me by a friend. I can't find it online for sale in the UK.
