Ride to the Bicycle Film Festival this evening!

Kryptonite to oversee secure parking at the Barbican

Thinking of riding to the Bicycle Film Festival but worried about your steed? Well worry not, because the Festival, which starts tonight at the Barbican, will have a secure bike parking facility overseen by lockmeisters Kryptonite, who'll be making sure your pride and joy doesn't walk off while you're enjoying the huge range of entertainment on offer.

The Film Festival, now in its 9th year, includes live performances, art shows, and of course film screenings at major cities in 39 different countries across the world. The main aim of the festival has always been to help bring all aspects of bicycling together to advocate its ability to transport us in many ways and the London dates promise to offer something for everyone.

Highlights this year will include: ‘Where Are You Go’ directed by Benny Zenga and Brian Vernor, ‘I Love My Bicycle: The Story of FBM Bikes’ directed by Joe Stakun, and ‘The Third Wheel’ directed by Brian Schoenfelder.

The London festival will also feature a variety of bike rides and events surrounding the screenings. Tonight there's an opening party at the Barbican with DJ Sam Young. Friday evening features a night of Roller Racing presented by Rollapaluza at Bethnal Green Working Mens Club. Saturday 26 September will play host to a variety of rides, including a Rapha ride and Carhartt BMX street jam, with professional BMX stars from across the country participating. There's a Bike Polo Tournament on Sunday 27.

Tickets to the festival are on sale soon and available via www.barbican.org.uk/film.
