broken bike.jpgDurham cyclist kicked off bike by motorcyclist
Police have appealed for witnesses after a cyclist was kicked off his bike by a passing motorcyclist in County Durham.
The Northern Echo reports that the incident took place at about 5.15pm on Thursday on the road between the Toronto Lodge pub in Bishop Auckland and Howden-le-Wear.
A police spokesperson said: "It is believed a cyclist in his 50s was knocked off his bike by a man on a red Honda motorbike.
"The motorcyclist is also suspected to have been travelling in convoy with a silver Vauxhall Vectra.
"The victim suffered ankle and arm injuries and was treated by paramedics at the scene."
Inspector Ed Turner added: “Enquiries are ongoing to identify the motorcyclist and driver of the Vectra, but if you have any information that could help our investigation, I would urge you to come forward as soon as possible.”
Anyone with information should call 101, quoting incident reference number 345 of May 22, or call Crimestoppers anonymously on 0800-555-111.

Well I for one hope the chap recovers - and the perp finds a short cut to their maker. I had thought this piece was about a victim, and yet .. Whatever DC did or didn't do - you (yes all those who have an opinion and want to share it with anybody on this venue) and I don't have the facts, and probably a lot of lies and innuendo thrown in for good measure. I don't want to read commentary which has probably been cut and pasted from the Guardian. Spare me from your righteous indignation - The actions of that particular person has nothing to do with this victim - 'Get it!' I'm surprised Moderators havn't stepped in.

and again people not offering any comment hoping the cyclist recovers quickly,which I certainly hope they do and arent put off cycling as a result, I had a motorcyclist probably 6 inches way from taking my front wheel out the other week, as he overtook me on a roundabout,clearly his essential journey trumped my daily exercise,and it does make you far more nervous when similar situations arise
