+1 for bringing the bike(s) indoors. Shocking, that they would steal, in daylight, getting through all the locks - what else can we do?
What about a motion sensing CCTV in the garage?
Can't you have the bikes in the house / flat?
agreed locks are not unbreakable but if you can ensure that they can't get bolt cutters into them, then you have a better chance..
Motorcycle locks bearing the sold secure label are particularly good. They aren't always the most expensive either. Ride magazine regularly does tests of them. Chains and locks made of tungsten alloy tend to be pretty tough. No lock is unbreakable, but some do require a good deal more effort than others.
Smuggers / All.. i had 2 bikes stolen on Friday, which makes 5 in 18 months.. I was definitely targeted, as just seen that they lifted my Kysrium Elite wheels, that were at the back of my garage and unless you had been watching me you would not know to look for them..
As a "victim" all i can say is get the best locks and anchor point. If they come with bolt cutters as they did for me, any normal locks or anchor points will get cut.
I am looking at getting 2 x Datatool Python locks and their ground anchor and also putting an alarm in my garage
And then riding my bike for another 18 months and then more than likely have to go through the process all over again..
Sub human scum... So sorry you've had your Roubaix stolen..I do hope you get it back.. Looks like you did all you could with your security..I am thinking of drilling an anchor point into my shed floor and purchasing some of the motorbike locks you mentioned. Never had one of my bikes stolen and just the thought of it sends me into a panic.. Again, good luck with the recovery of your bikes Gavin.
Or don't attach it to the wall by getting something like this:

Hey Charles..
It's a good idea.. but not sure the landlord will agree.
Going to alarm my garage, and get much better locks.. not much more i can do..
Really sorry to hear you had your bike stolen. What would you think to a wall mounted bike storage in your flat? Security and an art installation in one!
Hi.. I have a ground anchor.. But they cut the padlock with bolt cutters.. So now will invest in better locks!! Have checked out some motorcycle ones that look good!! I have to say I hope they stuff my frame up trying to get the d-locks off and so they can't sell it!!
Really sorry to hear this Gavin. Think this is one of all cyclists nightmares.
Are you able to fit a ground anchor in the garage? I think kryptonite do a pretty sturdy one for about £60. It'll mean drilling into the floor so you'll need a cement/concrete floor. It'll obviously not help you for your current bike but might help next time if they continue to target you!!!
Good luck finding your bike and keeping future bikes safe.
Thanks.. This is the 2nd time in 18 months i have been done.. i was targeted yesterday definitely.. They also took a Cannondale Quick SL2.. I have had 5 bikes stolen = about £7k in bikes gone.. My insurance is going to be a shocker next year.. But all i can do is get better padlocks. No room in my flat to keep the bike
Shocker - will keep my eyes open in Wimbledon area. Got to say my roubaix lives indoors as those thieving scrotes get everywhere. However I saw James Cracknell had several bikes nicked from inside his house the other day when he was in hospital and can't help but think the tea leaves are using the internet & social media to target high value bikes.
Ack, what an absolute shitter. Hope you have luck with finding it/insurance.
