That's a nice surprise - I don't have any sprinters though so am hoping for some crazy wind-affected stages today and tomorrow. Hopefully Phinney and Norm will pick up GC points for a couple of days anyway. Hey - anyone see the photo gallery on CN from this race? Taylor Phinney looks, well, er, wow.
Score me out of interest, I didn't stick to your rule and everyone else did.
So lets just see how I do compared to others as an experiment for your rule
31 points for my team
Ha ha. Yeah. I saw that. You want me to score your team along with the others? You're set up to be scored, I just didn't know if you were interested... And tomorrow might be a better day for you!
To be fair with these purist games we never actually said we were using the only 2 riders per team rule anyway
To be fair with these purist games we never actually said we were using the only 2 riders per team rule anyway
Well as it's my first I wasn't sure and tbh I didn't even think about it when I put my team in , I should have asked for clarification but if everyone is happy then it's all good I guess
I'll stay 'purist'
That's good enough. I'll scrap any transfer plans... thanks!
Hhmmmm. Not got much to say. Who is this phinney guy?
Chiv30 108
depends on if you are including top ten gc etc, if you aren't then it's fine I think if you are then it's another 19 points at least due to Cummings and Phinney being 1,2 on gc
I've got you down for these riders with the scores after each name:
29.0 Rui Faria Da Costa
20.8 Thor Hushovd 5
19.7 Taylor Phinney 55
19.3 Alex Dowsett
17.7 Mark Renshaw
16.8 Giacomo Nizzolo
15.8 Roberto Ferrari
7.9 Stephen Cummings 48
3.0 Alessandro Malaguti
150.0 108
Phinney has 35 FLP, 10 GC, 5 PC and 5 YR points.
Cummings has 30 FLP, 9 GC, 4 PC and 5 TM points.
My fault for some strange reason I was thinking stage finishes were more points , plus I have 3 bmc riders , if that's not allowed swap Thor out for someone of your choice around the same value (dont give me anyone who's scored more than 5 points today either if you do) sorry
Dowsett just may be worthless for the rest of the Tour, I guess...
I laughed my head off. Thank you!
I have no problem chiv, with you having 3 BMC riders, unless you win (!), then I'd put an asterisk by your win!
I was toying around with the idea that if you transferred someone else in, to let others do a transfer, too, but it's probably best to just keep the teams as they are...
Maybe next time depending on the stage profiles I might be able to squeeze in a transfer, but for now, to keep it simple, I'm scrapping it as an option for this competition just to not complicate things...
*maths*
I make mine 86 Enrique I have Cheretchkii too?
Stephen Cummings appears twice on your list of scoreres too don't know if you have added him in twice?
Yep... ok, I think I've fixed that. Stephen Cummings showed up twice because of a glitch in reporting the Teammate bonus and I have a name conflict with Cheretchkii. He appears in the game roster as Chernetski and in the cyclingnews.com results as Chernetski but today I went with ProCyclingStats.com and they have him as Cheretchkii. That affects TER's score, too. Thanks for pointing it out.
Impressive stuff from Cummings
Disappointed by Dowsett, but glad my Lasse Hansen pick has paid off
So Dowsett was the only guy i brought in for just the TT, and he didnt deliver, but at least we all had Phinney!

Today was an easy stage to score, let's see what happens tomorrow!
Ok, so he just didnt have such a good run, not gunning for it
what happened to Dowsett?
not in current top 10
I'll see what I can do, but only around for a little while
No TT bikes, that's going to do a few TT'ers out of places
Hello, G! Welcome to the thread! I'm going out for a while, if you get a chance, can you post the results? Thanks!
Not quite sure why. It's a level playing field. All things being equal, the best TT'ers will post the best times. They could all be on Pashley's with a Chihuahua in the front basket. The best TT'ers will still post the best times.
Taylor Phinney already has the provisional best time with a time of 12:03
Steve Cummings is now 14" back...
