Stannard looked very strong at the finish... in my mind he's not that great in a mano-a-mano sprint-off so to pip Van Avermaet at the finish strikes me as quite an achievement. I didn't pick him (and did have GVA) but was delighted he took the win.
Let's see if Sky can really do it in one of the proper classics now.
I see Paolini DNF. Anyone know why? I only saw the last five minutes.
I watched most of it, He wasn't really involved in the race so I assume he couldn't be arsed at the end.
Only possible injuries I saw were Thor and Kuznetsov (KAT)
I may be wrong but the scores seem to be as a stage race eg 35, 30, 25 etc. intead of a day race 50,40, 30 etc.
Yep, it says 50 for a win in the Classics but Stannard has 35 pts.
Hello, management? The 2 guys above are right, 50 pts for winner please! Important when you only have 1,2,4

Of my two teams lost five riders before the start, didn't do my scores any good!!!#

I have updated the scores, because they had been put in wrong
I have left all scorers in because it is Dave's race and not mine, I would have taken the DNF scorers out
Ok, there are a couple of ways a DNF rider can score. Which I think is wrong. But I didn't score them last year and people weren't happy.
If you go in the break, get to the half way point. You pick up 10 points....If the rider then does not finish. I do not think they should score.
Then, if the rider is part of the winning team, they get 5 bonus points, but they may have crashed out right at the start of the race....shouldn't get points either.
So Sutton, Knees and Puccio wouldn't have scored 5 today and Frederik Veuchelen wouldn't have scored 10 for being in the break
This is how I will be scoring the womens world cup. Get a DNF...you don't score
132 pts is good enough for me....I had a shocker in the Classics last season so hopefully this is a good omen.
Cheers. Lucky me, I picked both Hushovd & Kuztnetsov. Nothing goes right for poor old Thor these days, eh?
I'm wondering if you can explain what a 'DNF scorer' is, can you give an example, please? I can't think of a way that a DNF rider can score. Thank you.
Fantastic result for Stannard - very chuffed. Especially after Rowsell and Armitstead earlier.
1,2,6,13,18 for both my teams - not bad, just a shame I went Boom over Vanmarcke for my last man. Drucker came through for me though!
1, 2, 4, 13...
