Feel sorry for JTL - just hope one day he can tell his story. His silence is deafening, makes me think the legalities of all of this is very complex.
totally agree with you mate, if he was innocent and had done no wrong he should be shouting it out for everyone to hear.
Cant believe he has made no comment yet though.
Real shame, not necessarily for JTL (couldn't really care less tbh) but for British Cycling, and for Sky - while I'm no "fan" of any particular team in men's cycling, it's a blow any team who take pride in their compliance doesn't want.
Don't think anything fishy has gone on with them, if you read the article below - the timeline of events seems normal enough - JTL's just a bit of a dick for cheating and putting shame on his country, team and sport.

This flags up the problem of testing at continental level again. Riders think they can dope because of less testing and the lack of bio-passport programme. They then win races and gain UCI points, which gets them a contract at a World Tour team. There were a few cases last year of first year pros that had been signed for their points getting busted.
I can't understand how JTL got caught though. Assuming he is guilty I would have to speculate that his blood test values from the Tour of Britain were wildly different to those taken for his bio-passport when he joined Sky. Meaning he stopped doping fearing he would be caught when racing at a higher level, which actually lead to his downfall.
Most bio-passport cases look at values over several years not just a few months, so maybe there is grounds for appeal. Personally, I never felt that JTL was hiding anything and always seemed honest in interviews.
I hope the truth comes out and we find out exactly what happened. People we be quick to blame Sky, but IMO it's another case of them not being careful enough, which then undermines their clean credentials. If anyone has big questions to answer it's JTL & the management of Endura.
We don't actually know this to be true. One of the issues in the JTL case was the date at which it became public knowledge. There are no stats available on how many cases are investigated and no further action taken, meaning we don't actually know how the values are used across all investigations. These cases are kept confidential.
For a case like JTLs to get as far as it did three independent experts had to individually conclude that the results were highly likely caused by doping. With such a high bar, it was doubtful he was ever going to be found clean. But again, we just don't have the stats on cases in which no further action was taken to be sure.

Enough people seemed to think he would get off to make me think this one would evaporate in the same way Michael Rogers' + test did.
