Legistlation proposal: Chemical castration for white van drivers

Frankly white van drivers seem disproportionately aggressive and anti-social. I propose that if you are to drive a white van for a living you should undergo chemical castration, to resolve this unfortunate medical affliction. Charity volunteer white van drivers would of course be exempt (due to generally not being selfish and entitled pricks), as would people driving hire vans as presumably they won't be exposed to the white-van effect for long enough for long term change.

This proposal was inspired by today's white-van dickhead, who beeped at me several times and then shouted "there's a fucking bike lane you retard" after I took the middle of the third (right hand) lane about 40 meters before turning right at a roundabout, at a convenient red light (he was not waiting at the light, but approached behind me as it went green). He shouted at me as he swerved into the middle lane to go straight over said roundabout, midway across the roundabout (as there was a bus in the middle lane going slightly slower than me before that). I can only assume that it was some environmental effect making him act so irrational - hence the proposal. He is the third white van to act aggressively towards me in the past 6 weeks, reinforcing my environmental effect theory.

What do we think? Yay or nay?

For balance, I've never really had a problem with white van men; in fact some of them have been the most courteous drivers on the road. School run mothers on the other hand......... 102

How about you write your MP about getting traffic police back on the streets rather than this?

Life is full of dicks, get over it. Sitting here ranting about it like a 14 year old keyboard warrior does want? If you're so bothered about it get involved in something to do something about it, lobby your MP, council etc.

Yes, at least two of them are right here it would seem. I rather thought this would be a reasonable place to let off some steam after bike related aggravation, but apparently not.

21 21 21 As others have said, perhaps doing something constructive about it might of made you feel better instead of whining like a 12 year old.

What did you think, that it was going to become a circlejerk about bad drivers?
Most people here are over that.

37 37 37 Road.cc seems to have more than it's fair share of MOPEs these days. Get over, there are dickheads everywhere, yes even cyclists.

Just out of interest, how exactly would castration deal with environmentally as opposed to genetically induced conditions?
