i'm in the same boat - going to add £500 to the budget and get a genesis equilibrium disc 20 (the yellow one)
kind of depends on which scheme you're on, but the bike shops i spoke to told me topping up wasn't a problem...
the equilibrium 10 is on budget for c2w and has skinny steel and carbon forks...
Fratello rather than Acciao if you go for Condor (I would). Cheaper too, but still not in budget.
Indy Fab Steel Crown Jewel (853 main triangle). With S&S couples. Cycle scheme be damned.
I'm starting to think that. Nice bikes mentioned above (and thanks all for the recommendations), but TBH it looks like to get a nice steel bike you start to spend more than the allowed £1000.
Damn...
Surly?
Ribble's 525 ....
You won't get any of those on cyclescheme unless you can top up the £1k limit...
Genesis ... Equilibrium or Volare.
Condor ... Acciacio.
