as much as thieves are scum i don't really enjoy reading about someone loosing their life - bike thief or not.
always think that bike thieving is so prolific because the sentences meted out do not reflect the impact it has on the victim.
you very rarely hear of bike thieves being caught never mind prosecuted - and when they do go before courts the sentences are suspended or fines that won't be paid.
