Looks like its for a turbo trainer not riding use.
In fairness, for most riders I would argue the turbo is the only place training with power makes sense - very hard to do controlled power intervals on open road, where hills/traffic/lights/corners/junctions determine power output as much as anything else, mere mortals not benefiting from closed roads like the pros.
I have the Kurt, and unless doing some TT riding at FTP style stuff, there is arguably very little benefit to power meters in riding for most riders. The trainer is where power-based training actually works and makes sense.
