the standard of driving in the new forest is abysmal. The road where these donkeys were killed is a popular rat run to get from the M27 to the A338. It's a road I regularly ride on and it's more dangerous than an A road! the worst culrpits though are the tipper and refuse trucks going to the landfill site near Hale...
...of course, they're nothing compared to the menace which we cyclists are!!
Easy to happen in the New Forest. I didn't realise until me first visit how many were running around just sitting in the road. I gave one a friendly shove he was blocking the road with a cue of cars just sitting waiting i know they have prority but still...
Poor donkeys.
the drivers were probably cyclists going undercover.
