My first sportive is booked - 'No Excuses' on a potentially freezing cold February day. Also planning to do a local 'reliability trial' in January. Beyond that nothing else booked but another 3 day mtb adventure, like I did this year sleeping out under my £3 tarp may well be on the cards and I'm sure I'll pick up a few other challenges along the way.
Get out more often than I did this year. Lose some weight. Improve climbing. Ride three or four sportives. Watch the sunrise atop Mount Haleakala and then cycle down.
Lots of plans for next year, but first of all need to get over a frustrating bout of tendinosis in my wrist, brought on (probably) by my over-enthusiasm jumping back on the bike this year! (see 'training smarter' above..). Also need to get used to long hours in the saddle again after a year or so off the bike due to a herniated disc (fitness of a 30 year old, body of a 60 year old...)
Attending a wedding in Sonoma next June so hoping to get in a couple of road rides around Sausalito and the Redwoods.
My first taste of the Alps in August staying on the slopes of Alpe d'Huez with some work mates.
Several sportives including new ones such as the Hills of Donegal and the HandsOnEvents Ullapool sportive. Sadly missing a couple of great ones such as the 3 Pistes and the Tour of Mull.
Use the whole year to get 'distance tough' with an eye to the Highlands Audax and a tour of Norway in 2016.
I want to join a cycling club, have a bash at time trialing, ride my first century and try my hand at cyclocross next year. Oh and maybe try some microadventures and ultra light weekend touring.
Pretty small stuff but you have to start somewhere.
Edit. Oh and audax. Audax seems to be right up my street.
Whitehaven - Tynemouth (C2C) in one day for me.
Get over nasty pelvic injury from recent crash, get fit in hope third time lucky for ride . Some TT's Get accredited to manchester velodrome by end of summer and try some CX next winter
Get over nasty pelvic injury from recent spill, gain fittness in hope third time lucky for ride London? Some TT's, get under 27 for 10, doesn't sound fast but is for an old duffer like me. Get accredited to manchester velodrome by end of summer and try some CX next winter
get back to 12,000km years. And do my first 400.
Mt Ventoux, to add to Alp d'Huez from this year.
I want to explore Glasgow a little more, hitting some of the popular Strava segments in the north and west of the city and tackling some of the classic climbs outwith like the Crow Road, the Tak ma Doon Road, The Trossachs, The Rest and Be Thankful.
Get fit for the BMX season (two broken wrists a limiting factor ATM)
Get a good result on my cruiser at regional level (BMX)
Go into CX season with reasonable fitness and get a better result in the local league than this year. Maybe change to a SS bike.
EDIT: not forgetting the kids, find more oportunities for my little girl to ride and race her balance bike.
I've been roped into a team Everesting early summer, can't see beyond that.
I hope it will make me an absolute superman for the rest of the year, we shall see. Planning to lose a couple of kgs and hopefully upgrade the bike as my 50th birthday pressie.
Mini tour of Belgium (again) as there's something about cobbles, chips and waffles.
No personal cycling goals for me. I have Ride London pencilled in on my trike, but we'll see.
I've got alot more to do in cycling, A womens cycling project that I am partnered in and also my business which has alot of booking for being out and about an events next year helping riders.
LEJoG - solo 4 days
TCR 2015 - Just get to the finish (Melted my rims in Greece on TCR 2014)
PBP - Target time dependent on post TCR condition.
Action medical Research Ride 24
Maybe the Taiwan KOM challenge if i can convince the other half it's a cool place to go.
Train smarter, get fitter. Maybe do a couple of 100 mile sportives. Oh and do an independent London to Paris.
Le Mans 24 Hours, solo

looks a fantastic challenge, maybe one for me in 2016
Get fit. Étape.
I want to hit 8,000 miles for the year - up from 6,000 this year. Think I'll give the Tour of Wessex a pop and want to trim my century time down to as close to 5 hours as possible.
Oh and I think I'll do an Everest challenge in the spring.
