Single leg squat (don't use straps, use adaptations that will allow you to progress single leg squats otherwise known as pistols unaided) are massively beneficial to cyclists think about muscles required to achieve the eccentric and concentric movements, They couldn't be more sports specific if you tried. However they are an advanced exercise which challenge your midline stabilisation fully, and of course leg strength development, challenging both the anterior and posterior chain. Superb exercise.

Thanks for the comment. Maybe straps are better to assist one initially, and then one should transition to unassisted pistols.

The two plank variations show little effort or thought. And why not demonstrate an RKC plank instead of a higher difficulty (which would encourage poor form) normal plank variation?
And I dunno why the strap assisted single leg squat would be better than the time attested barbell squat (or even better front squat) for endurance athletes. The squat in the video could quickly lead to poor form and therefore injury, in my opinion, quicker than a decently taught front squat.

Video's superfluous and a bit lazily done.
Decently edited, though?

Hi PJP,

Thank you for the criticism and feedback.

I think the plank exercises are a great way to engage and strengthen the core. Not sure that the strap squat is better than a barbell squat...but it is a fresh new exercise.
