Flu

Anyone else suffering?
After breaking my elbow in December I was just getting back into it only to be laid low after 3 weeks back on the bike.

Now well into week 2 of crapness and seriously eff'd off. I keep thinking 'oh I'll just do an easy hour on the turbo, zone 2 what's the harm' - no chance.

Having got the 'Road cyclists training bible' for Xmas the irony is 20

I am impatiently waiting for my broken foot to heal. I have a power meter to fit that I got for Christmas. Only consolation will be to see how my power improves over the course of the year from a low level of fitness.

One of the actual benefits of being a proper asthmatic- NHS are rather insistent on giving me an annual flu jab

According to the latest news though, that doesn't give you much likelihood of help

I too am suffering, I tore a ligament and was out most of Dec and Jan, now have been out for two weeks with the flu. I need to get back on the bike so that I can become bearable for those around me.. 14

If you are thinking about an easy hour on the turbo it's not flu.

Yes. Influenza is not be sniffed at.....it does sound like a bad cold. That doesn't mean it doesn't feel bad.

I was going to do Mt Ventoux with my brother, but he said he felt terrible after my stag and so let him off (I still made him drive to the top to meet me). A wedding and a week later he was stretchered off the plane with a broken rib and pneumonia.
