Chain for ultegra 6800 set up

I'm not the most techy person but in the process of upgrading my bikes group set to ultegra 11 speed.

I'm a bit stuck on what chain to get though there seems to be two ultegra 11 speed chains on the market and also kmc have been mentioned to me.

Not sure if I need 114 or 116 links?

I've got the larger rear mech ( and 32 cassette) and a 34/50 crank - any advice on what chain to use with this set up?

There's some good deals on Ultegra and Dura Ace chains, 114'll give you plenty enough links. Just measure it out against your old one.
Always use a quick link, so much better and safer if you're someone who continually takes his chain off to clean it. KMC 11 speed links work fine in shimano chains..

You can just measure against the old chain if cassette and chainring size are staying the same but if you're changing (which it sounds like you are) you need to use an actual method to size the chain.

All 11 speed chains (except maybe campagnolo) will work with your setup. KMC are widely used by many and are easier to set up due to the split link whereas with ultegra you need to fiddle around with a joining pin.

The length of chain you will need will depend on several factors, cassette and chainring size but also chain stay length. This should be useful... http://www.parktool.com/blog/repair-help/chain-length-sizing (I use the big/big method and it works for me)
You will probably need to shorten the chain in the end so either 114 or 116 links should work
Hope this helps 1
