I think this race is Khan's to lose, as the bookies would seem to attest to. Bit of a shame as he's not really offering a great deal of change but I guess he's frontrunner simply by virtue of not being a Tory.
Shocking to see that George Galloway has shorter odds than the Lib Dem candidate. I wonder when/if they'll become any sort of political force again.
And in answer to the original question it's not really surprising to see the Green candidate offering the most progressive views in terms of aiding the cyclist and the wider sustainability issue. Sadly of course she's as much chance of becoming London mayor as I do.
I haven't quite decided who to vote for yet but I'm very tempted to go for Pidgeon as my first choice and Sian Berry (Green) as my second. They are the only two candidates that have given any focus to cycling rather than viewing it as a side issue which will hopefully go away.
I also can't bring myself to vote for either Goldsmith or Khan which narrows my options slightly!
Er thanks Morat, I think?!
Seems to me that Caroline Pidgeon is the only one really backing cycling, and cyclists, in London.
Being the Libdem though, is there any point in voting for her? I'm hoping we're fed up with Tories and Labour at this point...
