World Championships - Individual Time Trial

Roster update has been done so you can now pick your teams 1

While the TTT was fairly straightforward the ITT will be significantly more difficult, not least because of credit limitations.  With the big three favourites all over 30 credits it severly restricts your ability to pick from the mid-priced guys, riders like Chavanel, Westra or Pinotti are all priced quite highly so making the best use of your cheap picks will be key!

Standard - 1,2,3,5,7,11
Purist - 1,2,3,5,6,8

Happy with my strategy today. Just a shame about the Ugandans.

Standard: 1,2,3,4,9,11,19
Purist: 1,2,4,5,6,9,11
So purist won by 8 points. Wish I put Quaade in my standard team really - don't know why I picked both Zoidl and Hollenstein over him (although it's not like we have too much to base his form on).

Zoidl did well (30th), but everyone 21-30 were good outside bets. Don't know what went wrong with Dowsett (purist) and Hollenstein (standard) though.

I'm happy with 1,2,4,5,6,7,20.....not as high up as I thought though by the looks of some of your teams! Rediculous ride by Martin!

Oh, and Jaser in my Purist team, finally I have that lantern.

If I'm right this would have been the Highest Scoring Team possible:

34.4 Tony Martin
31.0 Bradley Wiggins
18.2 Vasil Kiryienka
20.4 Taylor Phinney
3.0 Rasmus Christian Quaade
16.4 Marco Pinotti
18.2 Adriano Malori
5.4 Gustav Larsson
3.0 Nazir Jaser

It would have had a budget of exactly 150.0 credits and scored 205 points.

1,2,5,6,9,12 standard

1,2,5,8,9,12 purist.

Not bad but not as good as some.

What I expected, 123569 plus five for gretsch I assume. Roy was my wild card, but happy with that. Same for purist and standard - unlike many it appears!

Stuffed this race up just like I stuffed up the TTT by picking Terpstra as one of my middle-men and overlooking Larsson and Quaade.

168 and 151, not too shabby although my pick of Jungels in both my teams was wasted.

had 1,2,5,6,7,8,9 +5 for the german I had?

Didn't realise so many had Quaade, can't have all been from me putting my team up?

Only stuck him in because he was top 15 on the betting!!

Snap, had never heard of him before you mention his name.

Now onto the road race, oh joy picking that team is going to be a nightmare !!!

I've already picked one team for the RR and to be honest, I don't think it's that hard to pick a really strong team, it's just whether you want to pick Sagan/Nibali and restrict your budget for the other 8 riders.

I had Pinotti last year when he crashed. Still rather have the top 6 though! Did think about changing my team to have Larsson as it was his kind of course.

I know how you feel, Jungels cost me today as I took Malori out last minute for Kiryenka, leaving Bob in both my teams too. If ONLY.....

Missed out on max points Sunday by two points, 1,2,4,5,6, plus Dennis today was just not good enough. It's getting really tough this game, as I have had two excellent days and am nowhere in the leagues.

Yep. I think so. He was the only 3.0 rider to score Finish Line points! Then again, some people might have seen him slotted at No. 13 in the (reverse) start order and figured there was something going on with him... But I'd give you all the credit 1

Wiggins not looking as hot as I expected, this looks like it's Martins to lose.

Kiriyienka might podium again... if Wiggins and Quaade slow down.
