Skoda Road Bike?

http://www.johnmulhollandmotors.com/skoda/bikes/3/skoda-road-bicycle

Saw some info about their bike range in some promo stuff that I've picked up that came from their Tour of Britain support. Initially assumed that they'd be pretty rubbish, but having looked this one seems a pretty good spec - full 105, tapered headset, carbon fork, Ultremo tyres, Fizik saddle and 8.7kg... Not bad at all for £952. Nice paintjob too.

Anyone ridden one?

Sorry, if you gave me one I would give it away or sell it. I couldn't ride something with Skoda written on it. It might be snobbishness but I remember the rubbish cars they produced in the 80's. No matter how much they have improved I wouldn't have it; would you ride a Lada or Robin Reliant bike? I think not.

Younger viewers might not be worried about cold war built quality issues.

I personally prefer to use my LBS. Not really sure that a car dealer would give the depth of advice or after sales support.

Looks a tad expensive. Suggest that you take the leaflet to your LBS and ask them to supply a bike to a similar spec that is tailored to you for the money.

Looks like a chinese factory alloy frame like you can buy from Aldi in the spring with full Ultegra for less than that.

I would personally avoid.

I would bet that the fork is from a Giant TCR 2010.
