Lazer sponsors British Cycling up to 2016 Olympics

Lazer has become the official helmet supplier of British Cycling, meaning that riders competing for Great Britain over the next two years – which covers the Olympics and Paralympic in Rio de Janeiro – will wear the Z1 road helmet and Wasp Air time trial helmet.

To mark this partnership, Lazer have created a range of bespoke helmets in Union Jack designs (if you’re one of those people who likes to say, ‘Actually, I think you’ll find it’s called the Union Flag’: hard luck), including the Wasp Air (£249.99) and Z1 (£199.99).

They’ve also added two brand new helmets in similar colour schemes: the Cyclone (£29.99) and the Blade (£59.99). The full range will be available to buy in early 2015.

The deal, which is through Lazer’s UK distributor Madison and runs until the end of 2016, will also see Lazer officially support Go-Ride, British Cycling’s development programme for young riders. The programme is designed to provide a fun and safe way to introduce riders to cycle sport and to provide a platform to improve bike handling skills.
