Appeal for witnesses as 81-year-old cyclist dies following collision

Derek Cook passed away a week after incident in Stowmarket

Police in Suffolk have repeated a call for witnesses after an 81-year-old cyclist died from injuries sustained in a collision involving a car last week.

Derek Cook, from Stowmarket, died from head injuries at Addenbrooke’s Hospital in Cambridge.

He had been taken there by air ambulance following the incident on Needham Road in Stowmarket at 3.40pm on Wednesday 30 September.

Suffolk Constabulary have asked anyone who saw the collision or who has information to call its Serious Collision Investigation Team on 101 quoting reference CAD 295 of 30 September.

Another murder, punishable by a fake confession of guilt, £300 fine, £5 victim surcharge, and a 6 month driving ban? ...Lets hope I'm proved wrong.

This man's life was worth more. Much more. RIP, and may your family receive the justice they deserve.

Way to jump the gun. Also, learn what murder means. The chances that the word applies here are infinitesimally small.

You'll see plenty of individuals sharing their premeditation on any Daily Mail article involving a cyclist.

...I'll say again, lets hope I'm proved wrong on this story.
