The blackest pot I have seen for some time.
Good evening, kettle.
The Daily Mail has picked it up (with predictable reader response)
http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-3270711/Is-world-s-angriest-cycl...
Hmmm, yet another needy vigilante robocop with a YouTube channel patrolling the streets of London to keep us safe.
Can I suggest to this particular street fighter for justice :
* Sort your brakes out
* Angle those dual headlights down just a touch, the current setup will distract oncoming traffic
* Not using that car hooter /air horn
* why the oversized speedometer? Is that to get your speed on camera when you win a Cat 5 commuter race?
* yes, the other guy was an abusive arse (same as a select few motorists and peds) but you seemed to accelerate into the space he had to move into after the corner then used those dodgy brakes late followed by that dodgy horn.
I suspect you welcomed the opportunity to play vigilante and hit YouTube gold with the other guy's boorish behaviour. I miss cycling in London before YouTube and gopro resulted in this CCTV on wheels operated by library prefects in need of validation.
Well, he is probably the calmest and most well mannered helmet cammer on the internet. His reaction after being knocked off here is remarkable: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=QXRHIgdc4_o
If you assume that the penalty for red light jumping is death, doesn't this cause issues for occasions when more draconian punishments are actually required?
Have a word with your silly keyboard warrior selves, for goodness sake.

Go for it, do tell us how you get on when you can type again.
@oldstrath and Bikebikebike; well said gents.
Far too much hysterical toe-the-cycling-party line stuff going on from people who are desperate to be outraged on 'our' behalf.
...all confused middle aged Northerners who think they are still working class... Steady on lad, there are some pretensions I hold dear...
For the "get our house in order / cycling community" brigade bringing out the usual po-faced nonsense, motorists get annoyed by "sanctimonious" helmet-cammers as well. Just as they get annoyed by people cycling two-abreast, taking the lane, or just being on the road at all. If you're trying to keep them happy or win some sort of moral argument, then you're a fool.
Really not sure what posting this video does to help "the cycling community". The real problem on the road is having to mix with motorists, some of whom aren't driving properly. Complaining about RJLers is a complete non-issue, except when they are barrelling through a load of pedestrians crossing, which this guy (who admittedly was a bit of a twat) wasn't. If the cammer really thinks this is worth posting, then he must be posting tens of incidents with cars every day.
Im sorry but its absolutely disgusting that RLJ'ing cyclist has his bike set up poorly so that he is expending energy when he doesnt need to.
People who dont spend the smallest amount of time setting up their bikes properly have no right to call themselves 'cyclists', and just give the rest of us a bad name!
No lights on his bike, jumps red lights and expects others to look out for him cos he doesn't give a f**k for his or anyone else's safety. He's obviously a cyclist who has only avoided injury or death thanks to the careful driving and awareness of the other road users around him.
Also - his saddle is too low.
We can all have a go at him for jumping reds and getting angry, but how often do people on here genuinely take the hundreds of red light jumping cyclists to task? I do it now, but in 4 years of cycling in London I have never seen anybody else do a thing.
I'm going to open a café with a wooden rail 6 feet above the pavement, so you lot can tie up your high horses while you drink your cocoa.
The guy who made the video could have acted differently. He could have just let the incident go, instead of riding up behind the other guy, braking at the last minute, and (I think) using his air horn.
It doesn't excuse the aggressive attitude from the other guy, but the whole thing needn't have happened. It might not be true here, but I'm sure some people with helmet cams are keen to film confrontations.
These people *should* be challenged - just like other anti-social twats who drop litter, leave their dogs' shit anywhere, park in cycle lanes, play phone music or pester women on public transport. Walking/cycling on by just lets them think it's OK. There's always the danger of a sore face, of course, so you need to be careful but "The only thing necessary for the triumph of evil is for good men to do nothing".
Helmet-cam man may be a bit self-righteous - but he was *right*.
I agree that the chap being filmed is riding in a daft way. I don't agree with the people on this comment thread who think it's funny/clever to refer to Darwin, or write 'future organ donor.' I've seen it all before, usually from anti-cycling trolls under national newspaper articles. It's boring, not clever at all, and in poor taste.
80% of cyclist also hold a driving licence. Something tells me this is your average motorist, who just happens to be on bike today, tomorrow he'll be back in his car doing double the speed limit and updating his facetwat.
I think that's unlikely, at least in that part of town. Partly because only a very small percentage of people actually drive to work in central London but also because a lot of people behave differently on bikes - understandably in some ways, but sometimes worse (or at least more blatant) and perhaps because they can get away with it.
Again, judging by his pent-up rage, I would bet that he is only on a bike because he is serving a driving ban for some sort of road rage incident.
The second one is.
Last night on CS3 next to Cable street in East London, my work colleague and I stop for the cycle lane red light at the junction with cannon street road.
Traffic light went green on Cable street and traffic starts moving.
Guy on a road bike goes whizzing past us through the cycle lane's red light, just as a coach coming down cable street turned right into cannon street road.
Guy skidded really hard and swerved straight into the side of the coach with a loud bang. Incredibly lucky / stupid.
Honestly thought we were going to witness a fatality.
That's not Bank junction, that's Monument junction at the top of London bridge.
Why the red light jumper turned there is odd as on Cannon Street there are two small roads that allow you to legally get to King William Street.
The red light jumpers attitude is awful, but no different that a lot of London drivers.

The second red light that the stupid prick goes through is Bank junction.
Drivers see cyclists like this dude jumping lights, not using lights at night etc and extrapolate that we all have it coming and care just that little bit less about us. I've started making a conscious effort to show an undue amount of consideration to non aggressive London bus and taxi drivers indicating to pull out etc in the hope that some of the damage can be restored.
It genuinely makes me feel a bit sick when I see someone jumping red lights at the bank junction, especially given that people have died there in the past.
Totally carefree, no helmet, no lights, no idea.......Hopefully he won't become another statistic
"Totally carefree, no helmet, no lights, no idea.......Hopefully he won't become another statistic"
In this case it would be natural selection taking its course......
Who cares if he does become another statistic, I won't he won't be missed, dickheads like that deserve all they get!!
