Big Green Bike Ride to help Friends of the Earth

If you are a supporter of Friends of the Earth and enjoy a cycling challenge then a brand new London to Edinburgh Friends of the Earth charity bike ride could be of interest.

Riders can join the Big Green Bike Ride, which takes place over six days between 6-11 May 2012, for one day or challenge themselves to pedal the whole 500 miles between the two capitals.

The route covers quiet roads through some of the UK’s most stunning countryside, and those taking part will camp in tent villages and be treated to locally-sourced organic food throughout the ride.

You’ll get free biodegradable, palm-oil-free bike products from Green Oil and those who do the whole ride will enjoy a celebration and a good night’s sleep in an Edinburgh hotel.

The ride will be fully marshalled with a support team and medic on hand.
