There's no denying all the big-brand 3D saddles are wallet-emptyingly expensive compared to traditional foam alternatives.

That said, its price sits in the middle of those of its competitors such as the Fizik Vento Argo R3 Adaptive at £260 and the £410 Selle Italia SLR Boost 3D Kit Carbonio Superflow.

It's a fair bit more expensive than Prologo's own Nago R4 Nack made from carbon fibre and foam, which comes in at £229. For some the extra price might be a reasonable price to pay for a café stop talking point and some bling factor. Not forgetting its exceptional comfort, of course...

Comfort and Performance with record weight: Using data from the Pressure Map MyOwn tests, it was possible to identify areas of the saddle where the applied pressures were lower. The cover sections at these areas were made with specific 3D geometric shapes designed to be able to limit the material used, but without compromising comfort or limiting the saddle's performance. It's a superbly comfortable saddle, and though a high-quality traditional model does nearly as well for half the price, it's not bad value compared with other 3D-printed designs. Money no object I'd probably get one, just don't tell my partner.

The markup on these saddles is absolutely insane. You can get essentially the same saddle from aliexpress for 40 quid delivered. 3D printing or a full carbon construction aren't that special these days.

Except you'll probably find that the factory selling it on Aliexpress are managing that low price by "borrowing" the original design without credit and then actually making it in Xinjiang or somewhere similar, where labour costs are cheap…

I'm sure this (and other 3D printed models) are made where labour costs are cheap also. Nobody is making these in Europe. There's only so much "design" that can go into a saddle as well. The one I have from "RYET" doesn't look like a rip-off of any western brands as far as I can tell. I'd always stay away from fakes of known brands there but there are chinese brands that are well worth looking at.
