Most Popular Bike Brands - The Results
Hi Peeps,
A couple of weeks ago I posted a forum thread to see if we could either confirm or disprove that the big 3 (Giant/Trek/Specialized) are the most popular bike brands amongst the road.cc forum users.
About 50 of us submitted out information as to which bike we use for the below categories:
- Commute
- Sportive
- Race
I have made the below assumptions to help pull together the stats:
TT/Race both = Race
If Winter and Summer bike submitted, Summer bike was used as this is likely to be your best bike
Fun/Weekend bike = Sportive
So, the results (top 3)
Commute:
1st - Giant
2nd - Boardman
3rd - Felt
Sportive
1st - Cannondale
2nd - Specialized
3rd - Planet X
Race
1st - Cannondale
2nd - Ridley
3rd - Cinelli
I've attached full results below. I think our sample size was a bit small, but Giant and Spesh were up there and Cannondale also made a strong appearance.
