Di2 - Flying with Ryan Air

Hi,

I am flying with Ryan Air in the summer and my Canyon Ultimate CF SLX has the Di2 battery inside the frame. To remove the battery I have to take off cranks and bottom bracket. Ideally I want to leave the battery in place. I called Ryan Air (not sure the guy understood the nature of the battery and kept calling it an electric bike) to ask if it has to be removed and they said yes (you are allowed Li-Ion batteries in hand luggage). I tweeted the question to Ryan Air today and they said it would be ok to fly with it in the frame.

Anyone have experience with flying with Ryan Air with internal battery?

Thanks

Lee
