My budget is a bit less than sky and i managed to get a car for £12 a day so no fannying around with transfers
Will definately do Sa colabra, Puig Major and Coll de Soller. Planning 2 days in the mountains.
Cant wait to be honest.
Sky and BMC stay at Vanity Hotel Golf in Alcudia ..... if you fancy extending your mortgage! It is superb though.
I used procyclehire and the free delivery and helmet advertised on the website never materialised but after some 'discussion' we came to an agreement.
Would recommend taking own saddle, helmet and pedals.
And do Sa Calobra if you like a climb!
Seem to remember Travel Republic used to offer really cheap transfers too which might beat the link above.
I booked the apartment through the travel republic website. Great site and you only need to pay £1 deposit.

Thanks for the info chaps.
Just booked a nice wee apartment in Puerto Polensa for much cheapness and also booked the bikes through pro cycle hire.
I'm looking for accomm so I'd happily take a tip on your cheap apartment option if you're willing to point me in the right direction?
I am going over on Thursday and staying in Palma Nova but just looking to hire for the day or so
Found http://www.bicycle-holidays.com which looks to have the nearest one in Paguera so I guess I will need to hop on a bus for a bit.
I have seen a couple of posts that there is a shop near the front of Palma Nova called Bepu but cant find any websites etc so not sure if it is still there.
Tried the Pollensa Park but it doesn't seem to be open in January
Thanks vic.
Was looking at porta pollenca but the price of accommodation around there was 2 or 3 times more expensive than palma.
will drop pro cycle hire an email.
Have you looked at Hotel Pollensa Park? It's very popular with cyclists and was pretty cheap when I stayed there, though perhaps that was because it was before the main holiday season started.
I've been looking at procyclehire too - seems reasonable. Considering whether to stay on Puerto Pollenca (close to cycle hire) or Palma (close to airport - can get bike delivered).
How do people get from the airport to Puerto Pollenca? Looks like there's a bus that takes an hour or so. I'm guessing that's a pricey taxi.
I used www.palma-airport-transfers.com. It was €46 return, including transport for my bike (I think the bike accounted for more than half of the cost), which I thought was reasonable. Certainly much cheaper than a taxi.
I guess it depends on where you intend staying? Most British cyclists stay in Puerto Pollenca. I've never had any problems with Pro Cycle Hire, in Puerto Pollenca, in the 4 years I've been hiring bikes from them: http://www.procyclehire.com/
Bruce, who runs the shop is a great guy, very friendly and helpful. At busy times it's best to book well in advance to ensure you get the bike you want, not sure how busy they are in January though as I go out later in spring.
I can't help with hotels as I always stay in an appartment. There are a couple listed on the PC site though, which are probably good.
