We have a winner for the Vulpine autumn clothing bundle worth over £500

You told us your favourite thing about autumn riding to win some top Vulpine Schwag from their men's or women's ranges ...

Right, we’ve waded through the 1220 comments you left about what you like most about autumn cycling which included having to read POEMS (note to self, never, ever, ever ask people to do that again) but the psychic trauma has been worth it. We have a winner… and because the standard of entries was so high a couple of bonus runners up too who will be getting some roadcc socks.

Our Vulpine Schwag Grab podium is filled by the speakers of two universal cycling truths and one rather personal truth.

Almost but not quite for robbiezhaorobbiezhao for masterful use of the sympathy card with “The cold rivals that of the heart of my wife” - until you realise that it’s not really that cold at this time of the year, even in East Anglia. (Maybe we should send her some socks too.)

Socks also for tells-it-like-it-is “I just love wearing tights” from wrevilo but somehow it lacks the poe… magic of our winner the tells it like it even more is:

“Shining torch through the fog/mist whilst making light saber noises. Obviously…” by Mattclimb

Yep, that's autumn!

Our winner and runners up have been informed - those who posted poems about nature’s paintbrush turning the trees the colours of their fave beige Vulpine shorts - your names are on a list. First offence, but don’t push it eh.

Thanks to Vulpine for a fab competition, thanks to all of you who entered, commiserations to the 1219 of you that didn’t win, but there WILL be another schwag grab along soon.

=====================================================================================

The whole caboodle is worth more than £500 (£502 to be precise) and includes Vulpine’s:

Original Rain Jacket

Cotton rain trousers

Long Sleeve Merino T-shirt/base layer

Padded Merino Boxer/Boyshorts

Storm Cap

Dogtooth Merino Silk Socks

We’ll pick the lucky winner next Monday, usual Schwag Grab rules apply.

You can find out more about Vulpine's autmn/winter range at www.vulpine.cc

Good luck!

The cold burn of frosty air on the lungs and the heat in the legs as the cadence rises to fight the cold!

Would love the Vulpine cycle clothing to keep me snug and warm on a crisp and cold winter day, when my water bottles freeze and my tyres turn white. My breath turns white as my legs scream get off going up my favourite hill. Bring on the winter is all I can say!! 105

Best thing about Autumn riding? Knowing it is OK to be using the inner ring all the time because I'm now in 'winter training mode' (and not because I ate too many cakes this week).

That mid-ride panic where you realise you're still not in the flow of remembering to get your lights charged enough before the evening ride. So sprinting home before the sun comes down. No one likes doing it, but we've all used our phone torch as a back up.

Even more of a sense of being away from it all, when its dark and your surrounded by weather. Anyway there is no such thing as bad weather, just bad clothing.

Wearing less but feeling warmer than pedestrians. Feeling more hardcore than fairweather cyclists and people in heated vehicles. Keeping fit, staying warm, AND feeling smug - that's what I love about autumn cycling.

I love the crisp, cold air. I actually enjoy riding in that more than I do the heat. Autumnal scenery is extra beautiful as well.

Nothing arty farty in this post 37
Simply getting a place in the bike racks at work as the "fair weather" cyclists stop for the Autumn / Winter cheers me up no end. The shower at work feels so much better after a cold ride into work too 4
This Schwag will bring some much needed style to Bradford, and does in need style #bigholewheretowncenterusedtobe

The perfect temperature range; being nice and toasty under your layers while the cooler air whips past you; the amazing fall foliage; and getting home after a cool ride and drinking a warm mug of chocolate malt.

At last, a bit more room to park in the bike sheds at work! (although I'd rather we just had bigger bike sheds which worked all year round)

Getting to work happy and full of endorphins after the commute while others complain about it miserable and dark during their drive. This and getting to see the sunrise through the mist along the canal path in the morning - always makes me smile.

Because getting wrapped up to go cycling is weirdly more enjoyable than shorts and a jersey!
